As a co-founder of 451 Research and its lead AI and machine learning analyst, Nick has been researching and exploring the use cases for machine learning since the company’s inception in 2000.
Mohan Rajagopalan
Mohan leads the Ezmeral R&D and Product Management teams in defining, developing, and executing the Ezmeral Roadmap aligned with the overall business strategy. Mohan just recently joined HPE from Splunk, where he built out and led the AI/ML and next-gen analytics product areas. Before Splunk, he started and led two companies focused on bringing advanced analytics and data science into the enterprise data stack. Mohan received the 2005 IEEE/IFIP dissertation award and started his career at Intel Research, followed by a brief stint at McKinsey & Co. Mohan has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and combines a deeply technical background with a passion for bringing new technology to market.
Evan Sparks is the General Manager and Vice President for AI Solutions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Prior to its acquisition by HPE, Evan was cofounder and CEO of Determined AI. At Determined and HPE, his group builds software that makes machine learning engineers and data scientists fantastically more productive. While earning his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Berkeley’s AMPLab, he contributed to the design and implementation of much of the large-scale machine learning ecosystem around Apache Spark, including MLlib and KeystoneML. Prior to Berkeley, Evan worked in quantitative finance and web intelligence. He also holds an AB in Computer Science from Dartmouth College.
