Following the news from Nonstop exec, Casey Taylor that Nonstop users will be relying on adjacent servers for analytics / AI / ML processing – the movement of data between the transactional world and that of analysis brings new meaning to the prospect of business integration. For almost the entire history of Nonstop, their presence within IT has been one commonly thought of as being isolationist – in other words, don’t mess with the Nonstop. It’s providing too valuable a service, uninterrupted, continuously, to be “polluted” by other systems and networks – recall the fear that arose when first Internet protocol support was developed.

Today, the world has changed. It’s Hybrid IT. It’s a mix of onsite, co-lo and cloud resources and Nonstop is no longer immune to the need to connect, interact, and to move data. So, what are the prospects that your IT organization will be looking at how best to deliver on the opportunity for greater business integration between the transactional world of Nonstop and the analytics world of AI-focused solutions?
